What is the Best Burton Snowboard to Buy?
If you are looking to buy a Burton snowboard it can get confusing on which one to buy. I mean there are so many options it makes my head spin just thinking about it. Have no fear we are going to give you some suggestions and some tips on what to look for.
First of the Burton custom has been around for years and is by far the most popular freestyle snowboard that has ever been made. I actually ride a sweet Burton Custom myself and dig for sure. What is so great about this snowboard? It seems like the people at Burton are making it better and better ever year which is great for you. No I know what you are thinking, the Burton Custom is great for regular folks but I have huge feet and don’t fit on this board. No worries the custom has brother made specifically for you big guys called the Baron. I have heard but haven’t been able to verify that they are coming out with a wide version of the Burton custom just for you guys as well.
Why is the Burton Custom so popular?
This snowboard is so popular because it is a mid-flexing board that is easy for just about everyone to ride on. It doesn’t matter if you are beginner, advanced or even a pro you are going to love shredding on this beast. Pros like Mads Jonsson, Heikki Sorsa and Mason Aguirre all swear by the Burton Custom.
The Burton Custom has been slaying the slopes year after year. It is the perfect board for you and there are all sorts of rad graphics for you to choose from.

What should I look for when buying a Custom Snowboard?
Looking for a custom snowboard can be pretty tough. When you start looking there are literally almost 100 different Snowboard companies to choose from. Not only are there a massive amount of snowboard companies to choose from but there are all kinds of different snowboards. Everything from Freestyle boards to Backcountry boards and everything in between.
When picking the right custom snowboard, there are a few things that I want you to consider: your height, weight, shoe size and riding style. Snowboards come in all different sizes from as short as 100cm and as long as 180cm. The actual length of the board is measured from the tip of the nose to the end of its tail. Now we have the width of the board. There is a really easy test to find the correct board width. Simply stand on a board that is flat on the ground and than go ahead and strap or step into your bindings. It is important to place your feet exactly how you would have them when you ride.
Your weight is also very important in choosing a snowboard. A snowboard acts like a leaf spring, in that it has no clue how tall the person standing on it is, but it does know their weight. When a heavy rider purchases a board that is too short, the board will have a tendency to “wash out” or perform poorly, especially at higher speeds.
If you are a light person and ride on a longer board you will usually have problems controling the board and initiating turns. Riders who are heavy should look for boards that have a stiffer flex to them, which will help you in controlling the board. Lighter riders will need boards with a softer flex.
A new snowboard costs between U.S. $99.00 and $600.00. Get the snowboard according to these elements and I know that you will enjoy your riding.

How to Buy a Snowboard if Your a Beginner
Are you going to be able to find a good deal on a snowboard or are you prepared to pay for a more expensive quality snowboard?
Many beginners believe that they will get good and they dont see why they should spend their money on a cheaper board if they are just going to get good and buy a better custom snowboard later. However, what if that person decides that they dont like snowboarding as much is they thought they would?
My suggestion is to go with the cheaper to mid priced custom snowboard. First practice on that and then if you decide that you really like and enjoy the sport than you can spend your hard earned cash on an expensive quality board. Keep in mind that a cheap snowboard is not going to give you the same experience as a more expensive snowboard.
This is because cheaper snowboards are made from cheaper materials and they are not constructed as well. More expensive and higher priced custom snowboards are made from more expensive materials and were well constructed for a higher quality. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t buy a cheaper one to start out with because it will still give you an idea of what snowboarding will be like and a very good thing to start out with and practice on.
If it were me I would buy a medium priced custom snowboard. If it turns out you love snowboarding you can get a more expensive if not you have wasted that much money. I will tell you I was a little unsure whether I would like snowboarding myself, but my first season I went snowboarding 43 days. That is how much I loved it.
